Origins and Philosophy
The
name Group f.64 has always stood for precision. In
1932 Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, and Imogen Cunningham,
among others, formed Group f.64 to promote sharply
detailed camera work in response to the soft focus
photography that was popular at the time. Stopping
their lenses down to f.64 provided the greatest depth
of field thus allowing them to create strength and
clarity at every point. They believed in the command
of craft, as well as an acute eye.
In the tradition of
Group f.64, the f.64 line of photographic equipment
bags is designed and produced with a maximum of
craft and imagination. Working photographers tested
every style of bag and consulted with f.64 throughout
the development process to assure that every detail
was in place. Like the Bushwhacker bicycling bags
we have made for years, we construct all f.64 bags
with the highest quality materials, reinforced and
protected at all high-stress areas. High density
padding protects your delicate equipment against
heat and impact, and hydro sealed zippers protect
against weather. We confidently warranty all our
bags against errors in workmanship or materials.
And to accommodate your changing project requirements,
the f.64 line embodies flexibility. Large transport
bags are designed for large equipment. Smaller camera
bags attach to the outside of the larger bags. Still
smaller bags can attach right onto your belt.
When you're working you need to know that your gear
is quickly accessible and yet completely safe. Only
then can you focus your attention on your own acute
vision.
Like the striking photographs
of Group f.64, the f.64 camera bags are all about
exceptionally sharp detail. Take a look, you'll be
riveted.
Superior quality materials and precisely detailed
workmanship are the hallmark of all f.64 camera
bags. Some of the steps we take to assure that ours
are the finest camera bags available are: "Box"
or "Box-X" stitching at all stress points; the highest
quality #69 bonded nylon thread with premium grade
nylon webbing straps and high strength polycarbonate
fasteners; zippers of self-healing nylon coil; interior
seams reinforced with seam tape to improve strength
and appearance; high density, closed cell, moisture
resistant foam padding to protect against heat and
impact. We want your gear to be safe. We take your
photography very seriously.
